The firm specializes in the development of multifamily residential communities throughout the Southeastern United States, with a particular concentration in South Florida and Central Florida. Its primary areas of focus include market-rate apartments, workforce housing, build-to-rent (BTR) communities, active adult housing, and selected mixed-use developments. The company is led by President and Chief Executive Officer John “Jack” Weir, who has more than two decades of multifamily housing experience. Prior to establishing Eastwind, Weir was directly involved in the financing and development of more than 40 multifamily communities totaling over 6,000 apartment units across the Southeastern United States. Eastwind’s leadership team also brings extensive experience in acquisitions, construction, finance, and asset management.
