National Church Residences is a nonprofit real estate and senior services organization founded in 1961 when it purchased 323 foreclosed homes. Over more than six decades, it has developed, acquired, or managed in excess of 22,000 housing units for low-income and older adults nation-wide. Today it operates over 360 affordable housing and senior living communities in 25 states, serving more than 65,000 older adults annually. The organization is especially active in affordable senior housing, independent living, assisted living, memory care, and continuing care retirement communities. Its real estate development focus includes building new senior housing, acquiring existing senior housing communities, and managing service-coordinated supportive housing for vulnerable populations. In one recent transaction, it acquired 206 apartment units across four senior communities in Ohio, bringing its Ohio portfolio to 4,577 units.
