The Overland Group is a U.S. commercial real estate company that has developed and/or acquired over $1 billion in commercial properties. Over the past decade they have developed more than 1,400 commercial properties across about 12 states. A large part of their portfolio—over 1,200 Dollar General retail build-to-suit stores in ten years—is retail‐oriented, particularly standalone and small footprint retail. They also develop and lease retail shopping centers featuring national tenants such as Taco Bell, Home Depot, McDonald’s, AT&T, Verizon, Belk, Sonic, Aaron’s and others. Each year for about seven years they have consistently completed 120-130 Dollar General build-to-suit developments, making them the largest Dollar General developer globally. They have delivered approximately 13 million square feet of retail space via these free-standing developments.
