Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG) is a multi-division hospitality business founded in 1985 with the opening of Union Square Cafe. Over nearly 40 years the group has grown to include more than 20 restaurants and bars, plus a catering/events arm and venue management/consulting operations. USHG also operates Enlightened Hospitality Investments (EHI), a growth equity fund launched around 2016 that invests in hospitality, technology, and consumer ventures. The fund typically makes non-control investments in the range of USD 15–30 million.
