Since 2006 the firm has been investing institutional capital across multiple markets in the Americas. The firm has raised at least nine funds and has invested in more than 180 built projects across 11 countries throughout Latin America and the U.S. Its U.S. strategy (“Peninsula U.S.”) focuses on student housing, senior housing and multifamily sectors, while the Latin-America strategy (“Peninsula LatAm”) emphasises residential for-sale and mixed-use development in middle-income segments. In the student-housing sector alone, Peninsula has invested in over 29,000 beds across more than 10,000 units in 66 properties spanning 21 U.S. states (and the UK) representing over US$4.7 billion in development cost.
