Panoramic Interests is a California-based real estate development company founded in 1990. Since then it has built approximately 15 high-density, infill mixed-use projects in the Bay Area, primarily in downtown Berkeley and San Francisco. Those projects have delivered more than 1,000 housing units and over 100,000 square feet of commercial space. Between 1998 and 2004, the company built 7 mixed-use apartment buildings in downtown Berkeley, becoming the largest private landlord for UC Berkeley students during that period. In 2007, it sold that rental portfolio in a transaction that was then the largest real estate deal in Berkeley’s history. Panoramic focuses on urban infill development, close to transit, in central-city locations. Its project types include mixed-use housing with ground floor retail, micro-apartments (including car-free high-rise micro-apartments), and commercial space.
